Job Description

Purpose & Accountability:

• Typically accountable for a mid-sized Unit/Business/Site or Territory Function
• Typically manages several key services through subordinate managers/professionals or leads complex and significant tasks and projects of global scope

Business Impact

• Adapts and executes functional or departmental business plans and contributes to the development of functional or departmental strategies
• Often contributes to Global Function policies and direction; recommends process, product or service improvements
• Ultimately responsible for effectiveness and development of area of responsibility

Responsibilities And Requirements

• Typically manages through subordinate managers or leads as conceptual thought leader in area of responsibility
• Manages budget and resources allocated to own area
• Requires in-depth and/or breadth of knowledge in own Function and knowledge of other disciplines
• Anticipates internal and/or external business challenges
• Often required to solve unique and complex problems using unique and/or new solution
• Ensures delivery of all departmental objectives
• Develops business by managing key relationships outside Syngenta on a regular basis
• Communication skills required to influence and negotiate with others internally and externally, typically at senior levels
