Product Leader, Aero Retread

Job Responsibilities: 

Technical Proficiency 

• You will lead a cross-functional team including giving direction and support. Led & coached the quality team to manage quality issues in a part of the manufacturing process and customer issues.
• You will develop, improve, and maintenance of quality-related documentation (ex: control plan, FMEA, process capability studies ) 
• You will drive process capability improvements. Product industrialization and continuous improvement of product specifications. Monitor process performance and identify opportunities for reduced waste, improved quality, cost savings, and increased productivity. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate process performance, improvements and customer complaints to stakeholders

Problem-Solving 

• You will need to anticipate problems and identify them proactively. Develop and advise on new problem-solving strategies.
• You will use collaboration to solve problems and make decisions. Develop new tools and methods to solve problems. Identify external resources of value to Goodyear. 
• You will collect data and inputs to make decisions. Consult with resources. Make decisions based on facts. 
• You will need to consider alternatives and rule out unlikely outcomes. Advise others on novel processes.
• Identify high-impact projects and implement solutions.
• You will develop innovative solutions to large complex technical problems.
• You will develop and advise on new data analysis techniques cross-functionally.

Project Management 

• You will use known, and develop new, tools and standards for project execution.
• You will execute, develop, and advise necessary steps and activities for project execution. Deliver to project objectives. 
• You will provide expertise and advice that adds value to project planning. 
• You will use the project risk management process to manage risks. Develop and create approaches to mitigate risk. Advise on lessons learned.
• You will develop/advise/use creative approaches to execute projects. 
• You will execute the project closeout phase while developing the process.
• You will develop new methods for, and advise others on, project conflict resolutions.
• You will need to anticipate conflicts and develop contingency plans.

Organizational Development of Team and Business Conduct

• You will develop self-leadership and technical competencies to prepare for next-level roles in the organization. 
• You will serve as a technical mentor to help develop the organization's technical competencies. Expected to develop self and others, and to model high ethical standards. 
• You will train staff on quality procedures and standards.

Job Requirement: 

• Bachelor's degree (STEM) with 5 or more years of experience
• Strong background in quality assurance practices, methodologies, and tools like 5Why, FMEA, Kaizen, etc
• Demonstrated ability to do systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and driving quality initiatives within the organization
• Familiarity with the specific industry standards, regulations, and best practices relevant to manufacturing
• Energize the team and maintain a positive attitude with peers. Provide constructive feedback. Plan and lead meetings.
• Give clear and concise technical guidance. Manage/deflect/diffuse conflict.
• Provide technical direction and logical conclusion within the function. Actively solicit leadership opportunities.
