About The Role

The role is within the Renewables Advisory Section of Business Area Energy and comprises the delivery of Measurement Services to Advisory customers in South East Asia, Japan, Korea and Taiwan (SeaJaKoTa).

The candidate will join the Renewables Advisory practice which consists of approximately 110 staff in Korea, Australia, India, Japan, Greater China, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.

The candidate can be located in any major DNV offices in Asia, namely Yokohama, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila or Singapore offices.

The main activities of the role of Data Analyst are:

• Perform regular data analysis of wind and solar resource data using DNV’s Resource Panorama Service.
• Report to Customers on status of measurements.
• Support trouble shooting activities.
• Support and participate in the further services of the measurement section.

Education

About you

• Diploma or Degree in engineering, data analytics, statistics, mathematics or other relevant discipline.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required For The Position Are

• Experience in wind and/or solar measurements.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (primarily Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), plus an aptitude for analysis of large amounts of measured data via custom analysis packages.

Experience Of The Following Would Be An Advantage

• Previous experience in a similar position.
• Familiarity with operation of data logging and communications equipment to support the capture and transmission of measurement data.
• Executing measurements or specialised tests.
• Understanding of the characteristics of other measurement equipment of relevance to the wind and solar energy industries.
• Working knowledge of the renewable energy industry and project developers; construction knowledge is a plus.
