Senior Consulting Actuarial Analyst

We will count on you to:

• Perform core pension valuation works (IAS19 / US GAAP) which include flawless execution with respect to requesting, gathering, and reviewing client data for completeness, reconciling data and assets from previous valuations, and preparing summaries of data, assets, and benefits defined in the plan document.
• Spearhead initiatives to develop in-house corporate pension review platform using MercerInsight
• Prepare and review detailed analysis of final funding and accounting results to be reviewed by a Signing Actuary and Retirement Consultant.
• Review and validate annual client liabilities produced by Mercer’s Retirement Studio System and other proprietary systems.
• Undertake general actuarial modeling, spreadsheet modelling and valuation calculations.
• Coordinate with Global Actuary as needed to consolidate accounting valuation results
• Work on pension defined contribution projects which include plan design and investment performance benchmarking/monitoring

What you need to have:

• Strong academic record of accomplishment in numerical subjects such as Mathematics, Finance (Accounting/Management), Actuarial Sciences and Economics.
• Strong demonstration in communication, analytical and technical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to articulate complex and technical information, within parameters in a concise manner.
• Self-initiative and curiosity in financial services, self-motivated to seek out knowledge, test ideas and ways to contribute to the team. Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with team members.
• Personal management in order to plan for foreseeable tasks, and understand own capacity for unforeseeable tasks. Manage the schedule for routine jobs, and be able to provide estimates of the time required to complete your tasks for senior management reporting.
• Work experience: 2-4 years of industry experience, welcoming candidates from banking, asset management, and investment advisory, insurance, financial services and consulting.
