Vice President - Merchandise Strategy
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive merchandise strategies that support overall company objectives.
- Analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform product selection and assortment planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, and sales, to ensure cohesive execution of merchandise strategies.
- Oversee product lifecycle management, from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Monitor performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
- Establish strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and driving profitable partnerships.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in merchandise planning, strategy development, or retail management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in sales reporting and inventory management.
- Proven track record of developing successful merchandise strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Creative thinker with a passion for retail and consumer behavior.
