Senior Supply Chain Specialist
Responsibilities:
· Develop and manage the relationship with existing OEM suppliers, i.e. NDA, Supply Agreements, price negotiation, cost management, volume rebate, score card calculation, coordinate the service after sales etc.
· Actively sourcing key component suppliers in local and oversea (outside of China) including management of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. etc. Pricing / Costing activities for ongoing supply will form part of this remit. Collaborate with China SC Team to develop new sub-supplier, alternative supplier.
· Estimate cost based on country, supply chain and supplier capabilities to determine product cost and development plans to support long term development of global sources.
· Supplier management: to identify supply chain risks and bottlenecks in the supply chain; implement mitigations to ensure supply security for all key product lines. Identify supplier performance gaps and develop action plans to achieve desired performance levels.
· Responsible for cost reduction activities, efficient supply chain to meet company’s target and strategy.
· Ensure supply chain processes meet company’s requirement & standard. Cross-functional collaboration to optimize SCM process.
· Monitor logistic efficiency from OEM (import/export, material & FG), propose optimal solution.
· Analyze and validate data, deliver daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports or summaries as assigned by Supply Chain Manager.
· Other task assigned by line manager.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
· At least 8 years’ experience (sourcing or procurement, supply chain, Engineering etc) in appliances or similar products/industry with solid experience and track record of working for multi-national firm.
· Solid understanding of supply chain, planning and/or manufacturing
· Knowledge of Mechanical (both Plastic and Metal) /electronics (PCBA) /Packaging / battery packing /motor etc cost and market trends
· Understand import/export regulation, ECN process, new supplier development.
· Able to work effectively cross functionally (supplier, engineering, quality and manufacturing) to align on priorities and develop implementation plans.
· Western experience a plus
Functional Skills/Knowledge
· Strong Execution/Negotiation/Persuasion/communication skills
· Proficient in verbal and written English and Mandarin; This role will be expected to communicate with both Chinese and Overseas suppliers independently – English skills are deemed important to enable this communication.
· Excellent communication, listening and interpersonlal skills
· A self-starter who shows initiative and able to work independently to move forward.
· A team player, who can build cross functional alignment.
· Skilled in Computer languages such as Microsoft Office, and Project
Education/Certifications/Affiliations
· Bachelor’s degree (or above) in mechanical/electronics/trading/supply chain or related discipline preferred. MBA an advantage.
