Duties And Responsibilities
Org. Setting and Reporting The internship programme is for a period of two to six months, depending on the needs of the office and the intern’s availability. The intern will report to the Human Resources Officer in the United Nations Development Coordination Office (DCO) for Asia-Pacific, located in Bangkok. In its Resolution A/RES/72/279, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the transformation of the Development as a stand-alone coordination office within the United Nations Secretariat, namely the Development Coordination Office (DCO). DCO now assumes managerial and oversight functions of the resident coordinator system under the collective ownership of the members of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG). The Resident Coordinator system is focused on the advancement of sustainable development, leaving no one behind, and with the eradication of poverty in all its forms and dimensions as an overarching objective, consistent with the integrated nature of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the DCO. Responsibilities We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated HR intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, possess strong problem-solving skills and have a keen interest in leveraging technology in HR processes. This internship will offer a valuable opportunity to gain hands on experience in HR environment and contribute to impactful projects that shape the future of HR practices within the organization. Qualifications/special Skills
Applicants to the programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent). No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advanced course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship. Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in Power Automate. Excellent research skills and ability to gather and analyze information.
