Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Analyse all the operation methodology and process and introduce updated techniques in order to improve the Operations System to make daily operation more cost-effective and overall efficient, as well as to meet both client and internal requirements.
- Plan, develop, and implement operational strategies and plans aligned to business objectives ensuring that operational goals, KPIs and business targets for service quality and cost of sales are met.
- Lead, manage and motivate Operations team. Develop operation performance goals, ensure and develop smooth communication and information flow between transportation units and other related departments.
- Reviews vehicle utilization to ensure optimum usage and minimisation of the operational costs.
- Supports Sales Growth efforts maintaining a profile with customers and engaging in large bids as required.
- Support ad hoc assignment as required by top management.
Security, Health & Safety and Risk Management
- Maintain a safe, secure, healthy, risk-mitigated and accident-free working environment ensuring all local regulatory requirements, security, occupational health and safety policies and procedures are being met as well as ensuring equipment and maintenance schedules are established and maintained. In addition, cooperate with management and the Company to ensure all team members meet these requirements.
- Assess and address potential risk and work hazards; directs the investigation of accidents and injuries. More specifically, to deliver the responsibilities and accountabilities defined for this role.
- Set up the procedures of risk monitor based on the Company Policy and establish the key point of risk management.
- Complete required security, health and safety training, take reasonable care for your personal health and safety, and that of other persons including customers and the public who may be affected by your actions at work.
- Report incidents or near misses, attend any required health and safety meetings, report problems and recommend improvements, and other related activities.
Compliance
- Plan, develop and implement operations programs in compliance with regional guidelines and local rules and regulations.
Service Quality & Productivity
- Delivery of Service Quality and CARE to customers.
- Maintain close liaison concerning all warehouse activities with customer service and sales staff.
- Conduct regular visits to main customers to understand the service quality of the operation staff.
- Design and review operations productivity plan for continuous improvement on operations teams’ productivity.
- Evaluate other operation-related contractors and suppliers in terms of service quality, productivity and technology. Negotiate competitive prices and service contacts.
- Overall responsible for operations to be proceeded in accordance with ISO manual.
Project Management
- Implement and integrate major change projects (e.g. Acquisition, integration, Property relocation) through sustaining sponsorship, leadership, and ensuring the successful delivery of the business case requirements.
- Coordinate with Real-Estate functions to establish and maximize allocation of resources, costs and time frames for projects including design, development and improvement for facilities’ equipment and utility supply.
Guidance & Training
- Provide guidance and training to Facility Manager, Operations Managers and Operations Teams.
- Teach frontline business department to check and write relative risk control reports, communicate related key points to other departments.
Requirements :
- Bachelor degree or above from manufacturing, engineering or logistics/warehousing management or equivalent experience in related industry.
- Min. 7 years working experience in Operations management in which min. 4 years’ management experience in a record management, or logistics industry, experience in managing Safety, Quality, and Risk Management programs, dealing with customers and achieving cost containment initiatives is essential
- High sense of confidentiality, Integrity, responsibility and Client-oriented
- Strong strategic thinking skills, strong problem solving and project and process management skills
- Strong team player, strong influencing, effective communication and excellent people management skills
- Ability to respond quickly to constantly changing environment
- Experience in Logistics, Manufacturing or same industry is preferred
- Excellent command of both Spoken and Written English
- Strong management skills
- Able to work in Samut Prakan (hybrid setup)
