Group Logistics Purchasing Vendor Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect information about ocean freight transport requirements from Latin America area.
• Establish, maintain and develop relationships with carriers and freight forwarders.
• Tender/negotiate/manage agreements for freight and related services.
• Support Electrolux Latin America entities at strategic and operational level on a daily basis.
• Manage space allocation, procurement and other operational issues.
• Maintain and develop GTNexus and other information tools.
• Proactively drive efforts for constant process improvements and cost savings in logistics flows related to container transportation.
• Follow market development for threats and opportunities.

Consulting & Support:

• Support development of global sourcing and distribution.
• Support GTNexus and process with shipping lines and forwarders.
• Support sustainability projects related to global shipping.
• Supplier Relationship Management with key service providers.

Relationships:

• Close and worldwide contacts with:
• Electrolux staff involved in logistics/supply chain at sales companies and factories.
• Shipping lines.
• Forwarders and other service providers.
• IT system providers for logistics and freight procurement.
• Other major shippers/peers.
• External organizations impacting on container shipping.

Qualifications:

• Shipping background – min. 5 years.
• Preferably shipping line or freight forwarding experience in ocean procurement.
• Language requirements: English at high level, both spoken and written, is essential.
• Spanish is preferred.
