Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Specialist to join our team and focus on our Chinese market. As an E-commerce Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to drive sales and increase brand visibility on various online platforms in China. Your primary goal will be to maximize revenue and optimize the customer shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
Chinese Market Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Chinese e-commerce landscape, including major platforms such as Tmall, JD.com, Douyin, Taobao, Xiaohongshu and WeChat stores.
Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce strategies tailored specifically for the Chinese market, considering market trends, consumer behavior, and competition analysis.
Channel Management:
- Manage and optimize online sales channels in China, including the setup and maintenance of store pages, product listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
Digital Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns, including search engine marketing (SEM), social media advertising, and influencer collaborations, to increase brand visibility and drive traffic to online stores.
Localization:
- Adapt and localize product descriptions, marketing content, and user interfaces to resonate with the Chinese audience, ensuring cultural relevance and language accuracy.
Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Continuously monitor and analyze customer feedback, reviews, and inquiries to identify areas for improvement in the online shopping experience, and work with relevant teams to implement necessary changes.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics tools to track and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for e-commerce operations in the Chinese market. Generate reports and provide insights to stakeholders regarding sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of e-commerce strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Exceptional communication skills in both languages are required.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in managing e-commerce operations in the Chinese market.
- E-commerce Knowledge: Solid understanding of e-commerce principles, including product listing optimization, conversion rate optimization (CRO), customer journey mapping, and online payment systems.
- Cultural Awareness: Deep understanding of Chinese culture, consumer behavior, and market trends to effectively tailor strategies and content to the target audience.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in using analytics tools to gather and interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Experience with tools such as Google Analytics and Baidu Analytics is preferred.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing e-commerce environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, e-commerce, or a related field is preferred.
