Control, direct, and manage the production department to achieve the goals set in the plan, such as production targets, minimizing waste, on-time delivery, maintaining product quality, reducing customer complaints, and ensuring employee safety.
Oversee subordinates' performance according to established work standards, including providing advice to production supervisors and employees in the production line, offering guidance, training, and operational suggestions.
Review production data, identify abnormalities in cost, and propose corrective actions to management.
Maintain quality control measures to ensure consistent products that meet the required specifications.
Monitor and enforce compliance with food safety regulations, addressing quality issues related to production or customer complaints.
Develop work standards in accordance with proper and appropriate operational methods.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and minimize waste, applying Lean production principles to enhance operations and maximize efficiency.
Propose KPIs related to the position to the department manager and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, Food Industry, or a related field
At least 5-10 years of direct experience in food production line management
Experience with SAP is an advantage
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards
Proficient in basic computer programs (MS Office)
Basic understanding of production process development, improvement, and the use of new technology in machinery to enhance production efficiency
