Position Details
Key Accountabilities
Work in-tandem with the Ops Implementation Leads/Site Manager elect for Greenfield locations or with the Site Manager of existing operations.
Ensure the Project Expenditure Approval Requests (EAR’s) for launch resource costs and new capital expenditure are well documented and presented to the Executive for approval.
Manage the Define Phase closely with the project team for presentation to customers for playback or/and approval. Coordinate and agree on the detailed Business Scope Document including the full solution and present to the customer for written approval.
Weekly 1:1 follow-up with internal project team functional leads on the timeliness of task completion and ensure they have the appropriate tools and support to meet their goals.
Weekly Launch Implementation Plan reviews with the full project team to review critical paths, dependencies, impact on slip in functional timelines and put a corrective action plan in place to mitigate same with the project team.
Conduct internal project team meetings to review existing open issues, new open issues, next steps and ensure that the communication and dynamics within the project team will support the success of the project.
Lead weekly joint customer project team meetings to discuss new customer information, open issues, status, and next steps.
Maintain, update & distribute weekly Senior Management Team (SMT) Flash updates or bi-weekly Flash updates for Steering Committee review to present a reflection of the project’s status.
Manage and track the Project Budget.
Qualifications, Experience and skills
Degree, experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree.
5 years+ experience in Project Management in a logistics / manufacturing environment ideally in either the Automotive or Technology verticals.
Operational/Engineering experience will be an advantage but not essential. Sigma Background will be desirable.
Great organizational skills and analytical mindset with good attention to details, ability to use logic to address work-related issues and problems.
Sharp sense of initiative and adaptability to take on responsibilities, challenges and agile to change.
Exceptional listener with strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
Strong collaborator who can work independently and in teams, enjoys collaborating across dynamic and multi-cultural teams.
Excellent problem solver with ability to find root cause and derive creative, innovative solutions.
Ability to travel overseas for business as and when required.
