Warehouse Network Strategy

Job Description

• Warehouse Network Planning: Strategize Shopee Thailand's warehousing network across the country to optimize cost efficiency, reduce buyer wait times, and strengthen synergy with the SPX network. This includes integration of various warehousing models such as main warehouses, satellite warehouses, extended storage facilities, and cache models within SPX hubs

• Business Scenarios Modelling: Evaluate potential supply chain models that Shopee could pursue (e.g. the requirements to achieve same-day delivery in the future)

• Decision-making & Cost-Benefit Analysis: Identify key decision points throughout each stage of the business and conduct in-depth cost-benefit analysis to guide decisions on warehouse expansions, location selection, and infrastructure investments

• Warehouse Structural Improvements: Determine the structural enhancements to warehousing operations to support the business growth of all fulfillment services (e.g. consignment, retail, Fulfilled by Shopee)

• Cross-functional Collaborations: Collaborate with Warehouse Operations, SPX, and Procurement teams to evaluate business scenarios and initiate expansion projects

• Key KPIs: fulfillment cost per order, buyer wait time
  
  

Requirements

• 3-5 years of work experience; prior experience in strategic planning roles is preferred

• Strong analytical skills: able to assess business scenarios and make data-driven decisions

• Strong numerical acumen: good understanding of key drivers, able to do financial modelling, numbers projections etc.

• Out of the box thinking: able to challenge the current operations and explore new and more efficient ways

• Strong communications skills in both written (e.g. powerpoint presentations) and verbal (e.g. cross-functional meetings)

• Able to connect the dots between spreadsheet numbers and on-the-ground operations

• Good command of English

• Able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
