Lead/Senior Android Developer

Responsibilities

• To design, develop, deploy, test, and maintain our current mobile digital currency exchange app 
• Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features – translating business requirements to high-quality code 
• Work with Restful and Web-socket APIs 
• Integrating 3rd party SDKs while maintaining application security.  
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the Android application 
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs 
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency 

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• Demonstrable portfolio of working experience in Android (Kotlin) app development and general software development.  
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, from Android 5.0 and above, and how to deal with different screen sizes and device profiles
• Strong knowledge of Android UI and architecture design principles, patterns, and best practices 
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning 
• Experience working with remote data via REST and Web-Socket.  
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs and SDKs integration.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git 
• Familiarity with continuous integration 
• Ability to perform in a team environment 
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
