Material Planner

Job Spec – Material Planning Officer

1. As a head of function, to lead material planning team to achieve company’s KPIs e.g. Material availability as per defined target, Zero downtime due to material supply, MRP parameters optimization, Inventory turnover, Excess and Obsolete stock, Hold stock dispositions, Stock accuracy, Supplier delivery performance.
2. Ensure materials supply meet the production requirements with minimum stock levels and optimized cost.
3. Take ownership of material planning issues and generate effective solutions especially in the event of material shortages or over inventory.
4. Manage and anticipate supply risk to ensure that escalation and contingency plans are in place in advance.
5. Coordinate smooth MRP run including all related parameters.

• Compare volume fluctuation and identify reason of changing before running MRP.
• Review and adjust MRP parameters to reflex tactical actions to support business needs.
• Facilitate to resolve MRP related issues to ensure accuracy of material planning.
• Ensure Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy by working with cross functional team.

1. Control inventory accuracy by working closely with warehouse team and proceed stock adjustment with justification in regular basis.
2. Responsible for excess & obsolete parts process to ensure minimum liability and scrap.
3. Maintains strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets requirements.
4. Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

• Supplier stock consignment or supplier pull system.
• PFEP – Plan for Every Part to optimize planning parameters.
• Digitalization system

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Management or related fields.
2. Direct experience at minimum 10 years in Supply Chain Management e.g. Material Management, Inventory Control, Production Planning, Capacity Planning, Delivery Planning, Warehousing, Distributions, Transportation and 3PL Logistics.
3. Strong computer literate on Microsoft Excel Advance and other MS program.
4. ERP experiences is required and QAD MFG Pro is preferred.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in complex
6. Fluent English verbal and written communication skills.
7. Qualified in Supply Chain e.g. CPIM, CSCP, CIPS, CPS, CPSM or equivalent will be advantage.
