Responsibilities:

• Attending to “Requests for Inspection” (RFI’s) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
• Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes, legal requirements and international best practices.
• Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawings and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
• Monitor quality of works, ensuring compliance with contractual specifications.
• Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
• Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and provide input to non-conformance reports (NCR’s) if required.
• Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and other disciplines.
• Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years work experience in an identical role on a construction site.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or construction.
• Background in quality or survey for construction new automotive plant will be an advantage.
• Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Sound knowledge of construction.
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
• A valid driver's license.
• Residents in Rayong will be an advantage.
