Product Development: Lead the creation and continuous enhancement of travel products that align with EXO's mission of offering sustainable and high-quality travel experiences. Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure that our products meet market demands and maintain competitive advantage.
Contracting: Negotiate contracts with hotels, sub-agents, and transport companies to secure the best possible terms and rates. Ensure that all partnerships reflect EXO’s commitment to responsibility and quality.
Supplier and Agent Relations: Build and maintain strong, ethical relationships with suppliers and key travel agents to ensure they meet EXO's standards for quality and service. Regularly evaluate supplier and agent performance to ensure continuous alignment with our service standards.
Team Management: Manage and mentor the product and contracting teams, fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment. Ensure staff are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with EXO's strategic goals.
Strategic Planning: Work closely with the GM & Group Product Director and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans that support the growth and enhancement of EXO’s product offerings.
Technology and Systems Management: Oversee the development and management of "EXO Create," our online itinerary builder for agents, requiring strong technical skills and system understanding. Previous experience with Tourplan is highly advantageous.
Quality Control: Conduct regular audits of existing products and services to ensure they continue to meet and exceed the high standards set by EXO.
Reporting: Provide comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports on product performance, market trends, and new opportunities in product development and contracting to the GM.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in product management, development, and contracting within the travel or hospitality industry.
Proven track record of successful negotiations and strong supplier and agent relationship management.
Strong technical acumen with experience in managing online platforms; knowledge of Tourplan is a significant advantage.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring a team towards achieving excellence.
Deep understanding of the travel industry’s standards and the specific demands of luxury and adventure travel markets.
Commitment to sustainable business practices and a keen understanding of the cultural dynamics of travel in Asia.
Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.
