Generate and maintain material requirements planning (MRP) schedules based on production forecasts, customer orders and inventory policies.
Coordinate with supplier to ensure timely delivery of materials, negotiating terms and managing supplier relationships.
Monitor inventory levels and track material usage to optimize stock levels and minimize shortages.
Collaborate with operation, RD and procurement teams to resolve material availability issues and support production schedules.
Utilize ERP/MRP system to track inventory levels, orders, and shipment accurately.
Prepare and communicate material status report and forecasts to stakeholders, highlighting potential risks and opportunities.
Develop and submit monthly rolling material purchasing forecasts to suppliers, ensuring they have the capacity and materials to fulfill forecasted requirements. Raise red flags if suppliers may not meet the demand.
Assist in NPD (New Product Development), VE, Cost+ by coordinating material readiness and ensuring timely availability of components.
Ensure accuracy of data in MRP systems and maintain documentation in compliance with organizational standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to material planning processes and operational efficiency.
Adjust material orders and inventory level in response to changes in production schedules, customer demand or design changes to ensure optimal inventory levels.
Proactively tune up and tune down material supply to align with production needs, avoiding excess inventory (write off) or shortages.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum 2-5 years proven experiences in Material Requirement Planning, Production Scheduling, Supply Chain Management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge and practical experience in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and proficiency with MS office tools (Excel, Power point) for data analysis and presentation.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies that enhance operational efficiency without over complicating processes.
Understand of supply chain risk management strategies and regulatory requirements relevant to the manufacturing industry.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis supporting decision-making and process optimization.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, anticipate trend and make informed decisions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills enabling collaboration with cross-functional teams, customers and suppliers.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadline in a dynamic environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
Detail-oriented with organizational skills ensuring accuracy in data management and reporting.
Proactive in finding and implementing simple, efficient improvement to processes.
