Distribution Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and control processes and systems, and implement robust supply chain practices to deliver excellent and responsive service to grow business.
• Develop and drive strategies for operational excellence at DC and for logistics flows into and out of Thailand.
• Accountable for delivery and year-to-year improvement of business results:  financial, service, and DC KPIs.
• Work closely with local and regional leaders to track quarterly revenue targets, and ensure orders are delivered on time.
• Drive vendor strategies: new vendor identification, review, negotiations, and selection to meet company's distribution and logistics outsourcing needs.
• Drive continual measurement of vendor's service standards and productivity levels to ensure that vendors are meeting regionally set targets.
• Responsible for setting up the annual DC and logistics operations budget and track and oversee these to ensure that cost performance is within budget as well as delivering on a cost reduction schedule.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with inside and outside organizations to bring leading edge technology, tools, and systems to improve productivity and processes.
• Development, integration, and deployment of improvement strategies in supply chain.
• Maintain organizational and individual focus on safety, health, environment, sustainability, and inclusivity.
• Approach problems collaboratively, use data for decision making, justify decisions using metrices and measures.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years work experience in distribution and logistics, preferably with a multinational in retail industry.  
• Strong analytical capability, with “business case” driven approach to decision making
• In depth knowledge of key distribution and logistics processes with up to date knowledge of technology and current best practices.
• Good understanding of trade and customs compliance.
• Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and matrix reporting organization.
• An excellent communicator and a team player who collaborates effectively across various functions/teams.
• Strong problem solver with a high sense of urgency (able to move fast). Takes initiative to develop and implement solutions.
• Strong command of Thai & English language, to work closely with Regional team.
• Ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
• Project management experience with high degree of operational rigor.
