Oversee the daily operations of the branch office and monitor performance of the operations (eg. Productivity, quality of service, data, subcontractors, incident management) and direct corrective actions.
Ensure the branch office is appropriately organized and staffed with the right capabilities and competencies.
Oversee, in conjunction with the VP SEA Freight forwarding operations, the development and implementation of the branch’s business strategy.
Collaborate with peers and departments on best practices, business strategies and insights.
Coordinate with agents, carriers, vendors, overseas offices and customers to ensure smooth transactions.
Ensure the capacity and procurement strategy, as well as its execution, is in line with the Group’s strategy.
Set up capacity planning based on the carrier strategy, trade lane plans and guidelines.
Maintain and cultivate local relationships with carriers, suppliers and customers.
Manage cost control and bottom line of the business.
Manage execution of sales strategies, jointly with the Sales department, to achieve given growth targets.
Qualifications & Experience
A minimum bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or the equivalent
A minimum 8 years’ experience in Logistics & Freight Forwarding industry
In-depth knowledge of the Freight Forwarding industry
