Media Strategy Development: Craft, plan, and execute comprehensive media strategies that align with the company’s objectives and brand image. Monitor media trends and adapt strategies to maximize positive coverage.
Media Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with national and local media, including journalists, editors, and influencers to promote story ideas and generate positive coverage. Act as a primary point of contact for all media inquiries.
Crisis Management: Respond to media inquiries swiftly and strategically during crisis situations. Prepare statements and manage the flow of information to uphold the company’s reputation.
Content Creation: Produce engaging and accurate content for various platforms including press releases, executive briefs, and social media that reflect the organization’s voice.
Reporting & Analysis: Analyze media coverage quantitatively and qualitatively to report on effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed. Provide management with detailed reports and insights.
Event Management: Coordinate press conferences, interviews, and other media events. Ensure logistical and thematic elements are aligned to convey the desired messages.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, to develop synchronized communications that uphold the brand’s integrity across all channels.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in media relations, with a proven track record of successful media campaigns and strategies.
Established network of media contacts and a deep understanding of the media landscape.
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade various audiences.
Experience in crisis management communications and media training.
Proficiency in digital communication platforms and social media management.
