Senior Data Architect (Mandarin Proficiency Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Architectural Design: Develop and implement robust data architectures that support KBTG’s data strategy and business objectives, particularly in our Chinese operations.
• Data Modeling: Design and maintain comprehensive data models for transactional, operational, and analytical systems, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and accessibility.
• Data Integration: Lead the integration of data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party applications, into a unified data platform that supports our operations in China.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend new data technologies, tools, and platforms that can enhance KBTG’s data capabilities, with a focus on scalability and efficiency in the Chinese market.
• Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies that comply with data privacy regulations and industry standards in both China and other regions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand their data needs and provide architectural solutions that meet those needs.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability, particularly in our operations in China.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of the data architecture, including data flows, models, and processes, with bilingual documentation as needed.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data architects and data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Security: Implement and enforce data security best practices to protect sensitive information, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations in China and other regions.
• Innovation: Lead initiatives to improve data architecture practices, introduce innovative solutions, and stay ahead of industry trends, with a focus on the Chinese market.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale data architectures, particularly in complex environments.
• Strong experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, MySQL), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and data integration tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Talend, Informatica).

• Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is required for effective communication with our teams and partners in China.
