Junior/Senior Software Engineer in Test

What you’ll Do:

• Work with talented members from a multi-national team (The primary communication language is English) to build our next-generation discovery, recommendation, and personalization search system 
• Research and develop for testing and quality monitoring of our next-generation search system by using best practices in software engineering 
• Work with the engineering team in building developer tools that improve engineer velocity, code quality, and code health (automated release, code design and testing, testing automation frameworks), as well as performing root cause analysis investigations and postmortems
• Monitor with quantitative metrics and improve the quality of our platform
• Guide the testing methodologies by making suggestions from a different angle of view for a proposed engineer’s design (at LMWN we use the RFC - Request for Comments)
• Mentor the testing methodologies with the engineering in the team
• Coach the engineer to balance between business impact, quality and efficiency (technical development and engineering effort, understands what is ‘good enough’)
• Design and plan the rollout in the production environment with minimum risk and the fastest impact. We normally experiment (A/B testing) for the evaluation of each feature

What you’ll Need:

• 5+ years of experience in the software development cycle.
• 3+ years of experience in coding, developing test methodologies, writing test specifications, creating test cases, and debugging.
• Proficient in at least one programming language for automated testing, preferably Typescript/JavaScript.
• Detail-oriented with a curious and innovative attitude.
• Growth mindset and willingness to learn and teach from others.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.

It’d be Great if you have: (If any) 

• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with technologies like RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, Solr, and Elasticsearch.
• Experience in test automation testing tools like Cypress, XCTest, Espresso.
• Understanding of basic concepts of data science and/or machine learning concepts.
• Good leadership and coaching skills.
• Good command of English: TOEIC 800 is a plus.
• Good command of Chinese: HSK4 is a plus.
