Job Description

• Reporting to the SQE Manger, the Supplier Quality Engineer is a key position in Notebook Supply Chain Asia Operations Engineering organization.
• The primary task is to manage and audit all aspects of ODM Sub Supplier quality management activities.
• The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background in Notebook Manufacturing and Quality Management.
• Strong in supplier quality management with in-depth knowledge on modern quality techniques such as six sigma and statistical quality control methodology.
• The SQE Manager must possess strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• A demonstrated ability to drive and deliver innovative, effective and timely solutions is important.

Job Responsibilities

• Implement & manage ODM Supplier Quality Management system.
• Manage the ODM Supplier Quality metrics & improve ODM Supplier Quality to ensure zero Quality excursion and continuous Quality improvement with process controls.
• With the ODM SQE Team; Perform deep dive Process Engineering Audits, identify systemic weaknesses and drive Suppliers for process improvement initiatives.
• Drive Best Practices standardization across ODM managed Suppliers.
• Lead in improving Supplier Quality Management for all ODM’s supplier.
• Act as Supplier Quality Engineering Consultant to all ODM’s supplier.

Qualifications

• QA, or Engineering background.
• Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
• Rich working experience in mechanical part design and tooling engineer in laptop industry is a plus.
• About 10 years’ work experience and strong knowledge related to the manufacturing, design, and Mechanical/ Electrical components.
• Strong background in industry relative process, like paining. Plastic. Stamping. Anodizing. CNC…
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired. Black Belt/ Lean Expert certification preferred.
• Experience with ISO standards and supplier quality auditing.
• Strong knowledge of QS, TS, PPAP, PFMEA, and APQP standards and processes preferred.
• Strong background in Statistical Process Control, capability analysis (Cp, Cpk).
• Strong background in NPI phase management and critical issue management.
• Effective at defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and/ or concrete variables.
• Proficient in general business correspondence to external suppliers.
• Effective communication skills to clearly articulate supplier defect issues and to respond to questions regarding these issues.
• Chinese language communication is preference.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
