Responsibilities:
1.Advanced Construction Supervision:
- Lead and supervise on-site construction activities, including:
- Foundation and structural installations
- Piping and mechanical equipment assembly
- Electrical and instrumentation systems
- Civil and landscaping works
- Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Conduct high-level site inspections to ensure alignment with complex engineering designs and specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical issues impacting construction progress.
2.Project Scheduling and Progress Monitoring:
- Collaborate with Construction Managers and project planners to develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Perform advanced critical path analyses to optimize project workflows and timelines.
- Regularly monitor project milestones, analyze deviations, and propose strategic corrective measures.
- Generate in-depth progress reports for senior management and stakeholders, with actionable insights.
3.Resource Planning and Optimization:
- Coordinate advanced planning and allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment in collaboration with team members.
- Monitor resource utilization, identify inefficiencies, and implement strategies for improved productivity.
- Facilitate solutions for complex resource constraints.
4.Quality Control and Assurance:
- Develop and enforce comprehensive Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Lead quality audits and ensure compliance with stringent project standards.
- Approve critical materials and verify conformity with high-level technical specifications.
- Minimize rework by implementing proactive quality assurance measures.
5.Safety Leadership:
- Drive a culture of safety excellence on-site, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.
- Conduct advanced safety inspections and address high-risk scenarios, including confined spaces and hazardous environments.
- Investigate and document safety incidents, recommending strategic corrective actions
6.Pre-commissioning and Commissioning Support:
- Coordinate planning and execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Verify system functionality through advanced inspections and operational tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project handover.
7.Change Management and Risk Mitigation:
- Assess and evaluate the impact of change orders on project schedules and costs.
- Identify potential risks, such as delays in equipment delivery or design changes, and develop robust mitigation plans.
- Implement contingency strategies to minimize disruptions to critical project phases.
8.Stakeholder Communication and Technical Documentation:
- Act as a key liaison between Construction Managers, contractors, and suppliers to address high-level project requirements.
- Ensure clear and timely communication with all stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, including as-built drawings, technical reports, and change logs.
- Represent the site team in high-level project meetings and client discussions.
Preferred:
- Certification in advanced project management or technical fields (e.g., PMP, NDT).
- Familiarity with industry-specific codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, ASTM).
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as Navisworks or Revit.
- Experience in large-scale resource planning and subcontractor management.
- Advanced training in risk assessment and mitigation methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a strong preference for experience in the Petrochemical industry.
- Proven experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Primavera P6).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
