LEED and Sustainability Engineer, Facilities Operations

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop plans for buildings that can achieve LEED certification.
• Apply knowledge of federal and state LEED requirements to create innovative and energy-efficient designs
• Oversee construction projects to ensure adherence to LEED guidelines and sustainability standards.
• Monitor and inspect completed projects to ensure they meet LEED certification criteriahttps://www.onlinedegree.com/careers/environmental/leed-sustainability-specialist/.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies to expedite reviews and application processing for LEED certification.
• Provide certification and compliance services for new and existing buildings in line with industry standards such as LEED, BREEAM, and WELL.
• Typically full-time, with standard business hours.
• Involve site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
• Develop and implement energy and sustainability strategies for projects.
• Offer guidance on building performance, operational energy optimization, and health and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with PEA and ADTH staff for operation and maintenance of 115 KV substation buildings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility with direct responsibility for maintenance or facilities and plant maintenance with 115 KV substation.
• Familiarity with LEED, BREEAM, and WELL standards.
• Proficiency in dynamic simulation software and mechanical design.
• Knowledge of building regulations, energy performance certificates (EPCs), and climate-based daylighting analysis.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Must be highly experienced LEED standard and 115 KV substation operation and maintenance.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and related application.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
