Manage, support for drive and component level failure analysis, root cause identification, containment actions, solutions and preventive measures.
Drive the various functional teams on the implementation of such solutions to closure and monitor the results to ensure sustainable results.
Support the team in achieving specified OQA, MST and ORT Targets (Mechanical root cause failures).
Supporting Production, Process, Tooling to meet yield, cycle time and scrap cost targets.
Develop and train resources to continuously upgrade failure analysis skills and competencies to accommodate future technologies and anticipate new challenges.
Interface with the San Jose and Fujisawa Design Engineering team on new product mechanical parts design and provide DFM inputs.
Drive the Supplier Quality Engineer team to resolve mechanical problems resulting from defective supplied components until full closure.
Manage and lead sustaining mechanical components qualifications for design enhancement and sourcing initiatives by liaising with cross functional teams to ensure smooth execution and result delivery within planned timeframe.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering) or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience preferably in the HDD or consumer electronics industries.
Preferred
Knowledge in disk drive will be an advantage.
Be able to work under pressure and possess a strong sense of urgency, commitment and responsibility towards the work especially in a crisis.
