Specialist, Chemical Testing, Lab QMS & Regulatory Compliance

About the job

Operation:

• Perform tests on incoming jobs independently according to the standard procedures with due consideration of the job priority and record test results in the correct format and prepare test report
• Assist to check & review test reports
• Responsible for inter-divisional handling of test samples
• Assist to set up, operate, maintain lab instruments/equipment and maintain records of laboratory equipment, supplies and accessories
• Maintain the environmental conditions and keep the testing area, equipment and machines clean and tidy
• Coordinate the external testing activities on chemical tests and work closely with external laboratory to align with their capacity and test result planning.
• Request quotation for any lab activities from Supply Chain to get approval from manager
• Perform and develop new test capability, evaluate, provide ideas and select internal testing methods for validate to ensure testing method are effective
• Lead any acitivities of Lab QMS
• Assist manager to continually improve to effectiveness of testing laboratory management system to ensure lab accreditation ISO/IEC 17025 in place
• Responsible for external audit according to ISO/IEC 17025 and collaborate with all relevants
• Execute and follow the relevant compliance regarding the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO/IEC 17025
• Fluent in English - Speaking, Reading, Writing

Personal Competences:

• Quality control and management in chemical laboratory
• Good understanding of testing method, testing equipment
• Design experiment and control testing parameter
• Good understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 17025
• Have capability to perform risk assessment according to ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
