1. Job Purpose:
The Sourcing and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for assessing and negotiating with existing and new suppliers, managing purchase requisitions and orders, and ensuring accurate cost and product codes. This role involves coordinating with established vendors, searching for new suppliers locally and internationally, and establishing strong supplier relationships. The manager must understand the supply market to ensure efficient management and meet operational needs.
2. Main Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Solutions: Provide effective sourcing solutions to meet brand requirements.
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily operations including delivery coordination, price/cost analysis, contract negotiation, policy and procedure compliance, and logistical coordination. Serve as a liaison to other company functions.
- Demand and Supply Management: Ensure accurate demand forecasting and reliable supply for short, medium, and long-term needs.
- Raw Material Procurement: Manage the procurement of raw materials and develop new products according to the Marketing Calendar, ensuring timely product launches with no supply disruptions.
- Customer Interaction: Regularly interact with in-house customers to achieve cooperative strategies.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Supply Planning: Plan and manage supply levels to maintain adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory.
- Cost Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers focusing on total cost rather than just price.
- Supplier Sourcing: Identify and evaluate new potential suppliers to reduce product costs.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Other Duties:
- Compliance: Adhere to company rules and regulations.
- Training and Participation: Attend and contribute to training sessions, meetings, and other required activities.
- Representation: Represent the company positively and maintain professional relationships with business partners.
- Office Maintenance: Ensure high standards of personal presentation and office cleanliness.
- Flexibility: Be prepared to work on holidays and weekends as needed and carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned.
3. Job Profile:
- Work Schedule: Flexible hours, typically five days a week.
- Task Management: Handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Work Environment: Work under time pressure with minimal supervision, manage large volumes of data, documents, and reports.
- Flexibility: Available for work on holidays and weekends as necessary.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve working processes.
- Communication: Frequent use of English and computer programs.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Regularly liaise with various stakeholders, including Marketing, Operations, HR, Accounting, Logistics, and QA.
- Location: Primarily based in Bangkok with occasional travel to stores and supplier sites as needed.
- Role: Act as a business owner, stand by for critical supply chain issues, and be a trusted partner to brands, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
Qualifications:
- Skills: Strong drive for results, excellent interpersonal and outgoing communication skills, proficiency in English, and computer literacy.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in purchasing within the food industry.
