Principal Accountabilities

- Manages the execution of the project portfolio for assigned market and/or business.
- Identifies new product and market opportunities, build business cases and define strategy with other functions.
- Plans the execution of new product development programs. Oversee the concept to commercialization.
- Facilitates ownership for stage gate within the team and business.
- Ensures design of experiment and statistical data analysis is embedded within the team activities.
- Establishes the assignment of projects and manage technical resources responsible for conducting daily development and commercial support activities – (Work scope / Change control across direct reports)
- Oversees customer-related opportunities by ensuring proper information gathering, arranging appropriate analytical support and interfacing with other employees, suppliers & customers
- Investigates new customer requests and works with team members to develop and proposes strategy to provide new packaging solutions to meet those needs.
- Develops or supports the development of capital expense and project budgets for assigned area(s) of technology.
- Supports execution of new programs. Manages spend of assigned projects and review regularly.
- Supports proper initiation of capital projects as applicable – including working cross-functionally with all necessary teams to align from request to authorization to implementation.
- Partners in the development of specifications for production equipment and the selection, purchase and installation of the equipment as applicable.
- Transfers technical information across regions, working with the business group resources to fit the local organizational structure and culture to ensure project success.
- Partners cross functionally in supplier / vendor management
- Establishes the assignment of projects and manage technical resources responsible for conducting daily development and commercial support activities – (Work scope / Change control across direct reports)
- Develops and protect intellectual property in partnership with Intellectual Property team.
- Leads sustainability initiatives, developing new solutions, transferring technology from other regions and support customers creating sustainability roadmap.
- Works in partnership with the global project team to ensure the that Global and AFAP strategies are aligned and are complementary and agree key deliverables/targets within the Project.
- Builds key relationships across the AFAP, AFLA, AFNA, EMEA functional teams to ensure effective problem management/resolution channels.
- Communicates Amcor’s key learning’s from process, system and sales resolution to reduce customer dissatisfaction and churn.
- Participates, creates and leads cross functional teams within AFAP, AFLA, AFNA, EMEA involved with the Project, developing team capabilities and ensuring. collaboration across all the other functional teams, BU teams and local contacts.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience (e.i. years of experience for a specific role, technical knowledge)
- 10 years+ of experience with demonstrated, progressive success in a technical capacity within a global manufacturing environment
- 5 years prior leadership experience
