- Meet sales targets through developing and selling new innovative products to new clients – targeting strategic or large clients. Present convincing ideas and arguments to win sales across the full range of AFRY Management Consulting’s product offering. Structure packages, decide pricing strategy, write proposals, and negotiate deals with clients. Able to interact at the highest level of client organisations.
- Plan, manage and carry out assignments, making optimum use of global resources to achieve high levels of client satisfaction. This will be achieved by producing assignment/project plans, working with the international management team to identify appropriate resources to meet client needs and delivery, ensuring action is taken to ensure agreed quality standards and timescales are met.
- Act as internal business leader, contributing to leadership of regional and local teams, identifying needs for process improvements and developing solutions, and driving collaboration with other AFRY departments to develop cross-department services and solutions
- Develop new intellectual capital and ensure knowledge and intellectual capital are shared by promoting cross-AFRY business awareness.
- Act as Project Supervisor advising the Project Manager where necessary, approving and amending budgets as required and taking responsibility for overall project delivery.
- Demonstrate skills in commercial acumen, business management and people leadership. Use a wide range of media to convey information clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways which maximise impact.
- Line management responsibilities for 4-5 staff including setting objectives, providing feedback and coaching, performance appraisals and career development plans.

Qualifications
You should have:
- At least 15 years of energy consultancy experience.
- Deep understanding of Asian energy/electricity markets and dynamics and how to apply the insights derived across the investor and utility landscape.
- Passion for leading a team of in-depth sector experts in the global energy transition, including experience managing a cross-disciplinary team of consultants, some of whom may be based remotely.
- An entrepreneurial approach to building business.
- A demonstrable track record of delivering high quality projects with key recommendations, including authoring public reports
- Experience in electricity and/or gas market analysis, electricity market modelling (e.g., PLEXOS), general management consulting, corporate strategy (or similar consulting), project finance or investments, power system planning, and/or market/commercial due diligence in relation to energy sector transactions.
- A broad and deep professional network and contacts across electricity utilities, renewable developers, regulators and policy arenas in the region.
- At least a Bachelor’s degree, typically in Economics, Finance, Business, or Engineering from a leading university; however we also welcome candidates from other relevant backgrounds.
- Fluency in English. Your ability to speak other languages is also an advantage – especially Korean, Japanese, and/or Mandarin (but this is not necessary).
