Perform and review pipeline design analyses and calculations for offshore pipelines and their components including but not limited to wall thickness design, on-bottom stability design, route selection design, free-spanning, bottom roughness evaluation, crossing design, riser and spool stress analysis, pipeline end expansion calculation, pipeline CP design, dropped object and trawl gear interaction assessment, shore approach design, pipeline fatigue assessment and pipeline global buckling and walking (Min. Level 2) design.
Prepare and review engineering design basis, specifications, procedures, philosophies, material take-offs and other documentation as required to support different phases of the project.
Direct, supervise and guide assigned engineers as a Lead Pipeline Engineer for pipeline engineering when assigned.
Assist Lead Engineer in the execution of the project when assigned as a Senior Engineer.
Coordinate, and interface with other disciplines to deliver the discipline engineering design for the Projects.
Provide input and review of drawings related to pipeline engineering prepared by pipeline designers.
Provide inputs for requisitions and review vendor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary.
Support bid proposals, execution statements, schedule and man-hour estimates
Support in the development of department Procedures, Calculation Sheets, and Guidelines
Carry out any other subsea engineering works as and when required by the Company.
Qualifications and Education:
Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent
Minimum overall experience of 5 years as a Pipeline Engineer
Working knowledge of design techniques and analysis methods as well as theory, content and application of standards, codes and guidelines as applicable for offshore pipelines
Ability to clearly communicate and explain complex issues and interface with all other disciplines effectively.
Ability to manage own time to meet the agreed deadlines and budget.
Team player and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Basic understanding of project management, project execution, HAZOP and HAZID.
Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of a professional engineering society
Preferably have experience in Level 3 free-spanning and on-bottom stability design
