Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive asset maintenance strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Formulate long-term plans for asset management, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and lifecycle optimization.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals, including technicians and engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment, ensuring team members are well- trained and motivated.
3. Asset Management:
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of physical assets, from acquisition to decommissioning.
- Develop and maintain an asset inventory, including documentation of specifications, maintenance history, and performance metrics.
4. Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
- Oversee the management of hotel CapEx, maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in asset management.
- Supervise an allocation of resources effectively to meet maintenance goals while staying within budget constraints.
5. Performance Monitoring:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for hotel engineering team asset performance and maintenance activities.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance data to assess the effectiveness of maintenance programs and identify areas for improvement.
6. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental guidelines in all maintenance activities.
- Stay abreast of changes in regulations and standards, adapting maintenance practices accordingly.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in asset maintenance processes.
- Implement best practices, new technologies, and innovative approaches to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations.
8. Communication and Reporting:
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing updates on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and potential risks.
- Prepare and present reports on asset performance, maintenance activities, and budget adherence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred.
- Proven experience in hotel asset maintenance and management, with a track record of successful leadership.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance, and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with hotel industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
