    Adult Online Learning/ Pedagogy Specialist

    Position Details

    Roles and Responsibilities

    · Contribute technical expertise on adult online education curricula, pedagogy, and evaluation, including especially as related to the strengthening of capacities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Development.

    · Participate in orientation and design sessions with the SME Academy review team of the ASEAN-USAID Partnership Program and other stakeholders to gain background and key technical guidance.

    · Lead the design and implementation of the SME Academy Content Review based on industry best practices for the review and evaluation of adult online education content and considering learning objectives, student products, course methodology, learning evaluations, and online classroom modules. Review will include the following tasks:

    o Desk review of the SME Academy and its online content (including a course listing of 125 online courses)

    o Key Informant Interviews (KII) with ASEAN Secretariat, ACCSME and SME Academy Facilitators (8 planned)

    o Development of a Content Review Plan and tool to evaluate approximately 50 of 125 courses from the SME Academy’s online course list.

    o Implement Content Review Tool for Priority SME Academy Courses – ~50 Courses

    · Draft a final report to provide analysis of findings and recommendations from the SME Academy Content Review process.

    · Present findings for validation with key stakeholders.


    Qualifications

    · Master's degree in education, sociology or related fields

    · At least 7 years of experience in adult education

    · Experience in pedagogical design (instructional designs), production of teaching materials and tools for virtual and in-person learning experiences

    · Advanced knowledge of academic reviews and assessments that measure intended learning outcomes including outcomes- based assessments and analysis of outcomes data,

    · Advanced knowledge of digital and technology terms/concepts/tools as it would relate to developing digital curriculum and curriculum reviews

    · Experience with best practices for academic assessment and experience managing, reviewing and improving digital curriculum for online education platforms

    · Experience applying relevant instructional and assessment techniques for multi-modal, cross-disciplinary and differentiated learning

    · Excellent oral and written communication skills

    · Fluent English Language skills.
