DPO & Legal Counsel

Data Protection Officer Responsibilities :

• Act as point of contact for data protection related;
• Identify and evaluate data processing activities;
• Provide advice with regards Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and data protection compliance;
• Monitor data management procedures and compliance within FUSE Thailand and its affiliates;
• Participate in meetings with managers to ensure privacy by design at all levels;
• Maintain records of all data processing activities of FUSE Thailand and its affiliates;
• Ensure we address all queries from data subjects within legal timeframes (e.g., delete their information from our databases);
• Liaise with other organizations that process data on our behalf;
• Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders;
• Perform audits to ensure compliance and to address potential issues;
• Deliver training across all business units to staff members who are involved in data handling or processing;
• Follow up with changes in law and issue recommendations to ensure compliance.

Legal Counsel Responsibilities :

• Drafting and reviewing FUSE Thailand and its affiliates operational documents and/or contracts;
• Corporate secretarial matters i.e., change of AoA, reporting to Government etc., and maintaining constitutional documents of FUSE Thailand and its affiliates;
• Research and prepare memorandum with regards to regulatory and compliance;
• Responsible to the implementation of regulatory compliance;
• Providing day-to-day legal support, including administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in data protection compliance or related field
• Strong legal knowledge of corporate law and analytical skills in both technical and operational aspects. Having exposure to and practical experience in technology, finance, commercial transaction, insurance and intellectual property rights related would be significant advantages
• Expertise in data protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of PDPA
• Excellent experience in drafting, structuring, reviewing, and completing legal documents both in English and Thai, hence a high proficiency in English is a must.
• Familiarity with computer security systems and Proficiency with software for preparing reports and presentations is preferable
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information, also Ethical, with the ability to remain impartial and report all noncompliances
• Excellent research, verbal and written communication skills in English and Thai, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work well within the legal team and internal/external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
