Database Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze database architecture and designs
• Consult developers to follow the best practice of database performance, housekeeping and optimization.
• Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies for DB management
• Summarize monthly report of database incidents, performance and work with Application teams to solve/improve
• Collaborate with data team to develop data pipelines based on their requirements

Qualifications and Experience required:

• Experience in database administration of RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Experience in public cloud technologies
• Able to write and learn programming skills such as Python, SQL or Shell script
• Experience in Linux operating system
• Hands-on experience with database troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Able to work effectively both as part of a team
• Good personal skill for reading and speaking
• Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate the work of others
• Able to deal and handle difficult situations and work under time constraints
