Business Analyst

Job Description

• As a Business Analyst, the key main responsibility are working/coordinating with Product manager and Development to get clearly understand the business requirements and translate into development works.
• Involve day-to-day development work/agile process, e.g. review business requirement, build a clear/well-format user story for the team, conduct requirement elaboration to the team, understand and provide clarification of all requirements with team, working closely with development/product management to deliver requirements base on agreed time frame.
• Understand Trading workflows especially on Post Trade workflows.
• Provide elaboration of requirement in User Story (in JIRA), On-line documentation system (Confluence)
• Requires a good knowledge on Financial especially on FX, Commodity etc.

Knowledge & Skill

• Product ownership (or business analysis) experience
• Excellent knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (Agile / Scrum and Waterfall).
• Trading proven experience is ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate optimally with senior members of staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of Jira / Confluence / Excel
• SQL knowledge advantageous.

Scope Of Impact

• Responsible for product ownership activities within their workstream
• Provides input to business area objectives and solutions.
• Advises colleagues on functional matters.
• Supports Product Manager where required.

Strategic Planning & Decision Making

• Makes recommendations and decisions that shape the product.
• Determines the nature of sophisticated or undefined problems; independently identifies the best solution from many alternatives and validates their root cause, considering the broader commercial picture.
• Owns and/or escalates higher risk or more unique problems.
• Decisions require interpretive thinking and some judgment in developing solutions
