Account Executive

What You Will Be Doing

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of public relations & the broader communication industry and its basic principles.
• Understand key client information, including business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors.
• Develop earned media skills –Building relationships with media, proactively surface new storylines, drafting media briefing materials, building thoughtful media lists, and outreach to media.
• Write, edit and proofread materials including press releases, briefing books, coverage reports, pitch notes, fact sheets, and client correspondence.
• Demonstrate knowledge of social media tools and channels.
• Help supervise and educate interns.
• Participate in new business processes, including research and proposal preparation.
• Commit to continuous learning through Edelman Learning Institute and other training opportunities.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values and our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.

What Is Required Of You

• Degree/diploma in a relevant field, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and excellent organization skills.
• At least 1-2 years track record of relevant experiences.
• Intermediate understanding of branding and integrated communications.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work.
• Good interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work effectively with a variety of client service staff within a specific set of accounts.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to jump in and support the team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic research skills and project management skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be part of and contribute to a strong, high-performing team.
• Experience in FMCG or QSR industry is highly advantageous.
