As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making across the organization. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting comprehensive financial and analytical data that informs strategic initiatives and drives operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis :
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and evaluate opportunities for improvement
- Prepare detailed financial models, forecasts, and projections to support strategic planning and decision-making processes
- Analyze key financial metrics and KPIs, providing insights into areas of strength and areas for improvement
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets aligned with organizational goals
- Prepare regular forecasts and variance analyses to track actual performance against budgeted targets, identifying deviations and recommending corrective actions as needed
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly/quarterly financial statements, variance analyses, and executive summaries, for review by senior management
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards in all financial reporting activities
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various departments and business units across the group to gather financial data, understand business drivers, and provide analytical support
- Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to assess investment opportunities, evaluate business initiatives, and optimize resource allocation
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting efficiency
- Implement best practices and tools to enhance financial analysis capabilities and drive continuous improvement in financial management practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred
- 8 -10 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, strategic finance, or investment banking, preferably in the media or technology industry
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis using Excel and other financial software/tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts and recommendations effectively to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization
