Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Solution Design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand manufacturing requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Develop detailed solution designs considering architecture principles, scalability, security, and performance.
2. Technology Evaluation
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies and tools to enhance manufacturing solutions.
3. Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure that technical designs align with established architecture standards.
4. Integration and Compatibility
- Ensure seamless integration of solutions with existing manufacturing systems, such as SCADA systems, industrial control systems, and IIoT devices.
- Verify compatibility with hardware, software, and network environments within the manufacturing ecosystem.
5. Security and Compliance
- Integrate OT cybersecurity best practices into solution designs.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and regulatory requirements specific to manufacturing environments.
6. Documentation and Communication
- Document technical designs, architecture decisions, and implementation guidelines tailored to manufacturing requirements.
- Effectively communicate solution designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders within the manufacturing domain.
7. Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to define testing strategies specific to manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during solution implementation.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in solution architecture.
Experience / Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in solution architecture and design.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering complex solutions within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture and design best practices, particularly in the context of industrial IT systems and OT.
- Expertise in industrial IT systems and operational technology (OT).
- Experience with SCADA systems, industrial control systems, and IIoT.
- Knowledge of OT cybersecurity and network protocols.
- Skills in integrating OT with enterprise IT systems for data insights.
- Understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and digital twin technologies.
