Responsibilities

• Understand, communicate, and enforce the company software architecture strategy.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions.
• Draft detailed design documents, including System Architecture diagrams, Data Models (ER or UML diagrams), UML State diagrams, etc. as necessary.
• Evaluate the current state of systems, identifying areas for improvement and proposing strategic plans for enhancement.
• Translate business needs and requirements into technical specifications for software applications.
• Lead the software development process, influencing high-level decisions.
• Define, document, and ensure adherence to application architecture and design standards.
• Coach and mentor software engineers, programmers, and other team members.
• Create and maintain design and code standards.
• Serve as a technical liaison among project managers, developers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• (Prefer) Bachelor/Master's degree in computer science, information technology, software architecture, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience leading software development teams.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, functional programming, and software design patterns.
• Understand the concept of SOA and the pros/cons of Microservices.
• Familiarity with software development frameworks.
• Familiarity with software version control systems such as Git and SVN.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and testing frameworks, such as xUnit and Selenium.
• Familiarity with software delivery platforms, such as Atlassian’s Jira.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Big-picture problem-solving skill.
