Oversee the entire lifecycle of rotating or static equipment and packages, from defining specifications and selecting vendors to installation and pre-commissioning.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and achieve optimal results.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including datasheets, specifications, and requisitions.
Lead the technical evaluation process for vendor proposals, selecting the best solutions for our needs.
Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of vendor drawings for accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Actively participate in inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for rotating equipment.
Provide valuable support to production and brownfield teams during installation and pre-commissioning activities.
Perform in-depth material handling studies, collaborating with all disciplines to generate comprehensive reports.
Who You Are:
Hold a bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Possess 6-8 years of proven experience in managing rotating or static equipment and packages (pumps, compressors, blowers, turbines, pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, etc.) along with process and utility packages.
Prior experience within the Oil and Gas industry is a highly valued asset.
Demonstrate a strong proficiency in the design, selection, and engineering of rotating equipment, adhering to relevant codes and standards (API, BS, ASME, HIS, etc.).
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to independently gather information and prepare clear, concise engineering documents (specifications, datasheets, reports, calculations).
Proven experience in technical bid evaluation, vendor document review, and collaborating effectively with other disciplines.
Maintain a strong knowledge of inspection and testing requirements for rotating equipment and packages.
Prior commissioning experience and knowledge of material selection are considered a plus.
An ideal candidate will have experience as a rotating mechanical engineer on at least two projects involving offshore centrifugal compressors driven by gas turbines.
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
