Principle Engineer

Key accountabilities:

• Architect and develop complex systems at scale that meet SLA’s, KPIS and engineering standards
• Collaborate and influence Sr. technology and business leaders to recommend solutions and articulate trade-off’s
• Provide consulting and guidance to engineer teams to improve quality and engineering excellence
• Demonstrates expertise in industry standards for secure development practices
• Expertise with telemetry solutions and products available in the industry
• Contributes to open source, community projects and engineering standards
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and drive engineering excellence, continuous improvement and standards across the enterprise
• Help acquire and develop top engineering talent
• Develop scalable, responsive and global solutions to drive business outcomes and growth
• Stakeholder and participant in the Design Review process, evaluating and providing feedback on projects and architectures with an engineering focus
• Shape business and technology thinking through Enterprise Architecture, and drive solutions that bring competitive advantage
• Establish architecture framework for how we continuously ensure harmonization and rationalization of our Manufacturing application and technology landscape
• Co-drive the development of application roadmaps and ensure that a holistic cross value-chain perspective is applied to the roadmaps
• Be at the forefront of evolving technology and digital solutions and ensure buy-in on how to apply the solutions deemed relevant for Pandora Manufacturing
• Challenge current thinking on how we operate and enable our value chain with technology solutions to seek further optimization opportunities as well as potential new business opportunities

Qualifications and Competencies:

• 10+ years of professional Enterprise and Solution Architecture experience designing and supporting mission critical Tier 1 services.
• Strong experience in enterprise IT management, technology consulting, advisory or professional services
• Knowledge of all aspects of IT architecture and proven abilities to manage large scale solutions design and implementation work
• Understanding of application development methodologies, SOA, object-oriented analysis and design, and SaaS / cloud-based systems
• Good understanding of the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
• Track record of architecting and solving complex engineering problems at scale with outstanding business and technology results
• Experienced with developing high-performance micro services and applications with enterprise grade security
• Experience working directly with engineering teams in an agile software development environment
• Ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences and influence outside technical teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver with quality in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Creative thinking and problem-solving in the face of ambiguity with limited resources and real-world constraints, and the ability to identify the root cause of complex problems.
• DevOps experience with track record of improving time to recovery and mitigating failures
• Highly experienced with various CI/CD process and tools GitLab, Containerization technologies
• Highly experienced with mentoring and coaching engineers
• Highly experienced with either AWS or Azure and some experience with one other cloud platform
• Omni-channel experience would be desirable
• Manufacturing experience would be desirable
• Professional Architecture certification like The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Certified Enterprise Architect Professional (CEAP) would be an advantage
