Policy Innovation and Research Specialist
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop data-driven and science-based public policies to address societal or organizational challenges.
Conduct or support applied research to inform policy decisions and evaluate policy or program outcomes.
Develop tools, platforms, or solutions to improve policy implementation or address key issues.
Lead participatory processes that engage communities, experts, and stakeholders to ensure inclusive and practical policy development.
Translate research findings and insights into actionable policy briefs, dashboards, presentations, or reports.
Design and manage monitoring and evaluation systems, including KPI development and real-time dashboards.
Collaborate with government agencies, private sector, civil society, and academic institutions to foster innovation and scale solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Engineering, Digital Technology, Data Science, Agricultural Science, or other related disciplines.
Experience in research, data analysis, project design, or social innovation will be considered an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply scientific thinking and systems approaches to complex challenges.
Proficiency in using technology tools such as statistical software, data analysis programs, online survey systems, or platforms for idea design and innovation prototyping (e.g., Miro, Figma, Notion, or other tools that support innovation processes).
Ability to communicate technical or research-based information clearly for policy and cross-sector audiences.
Experience working with government agencies or in multi-stakeholder environments is a plus.
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
