Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of the freight forwarding and logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the operations team. Set performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
Process Optimization: Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
Customer Service: Ensure that client requirements are met and exceeded. Address and resolve any operational issues or complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Keep abreast of changes in regulations and best practices in logistics.
Resource Management: Optimize the use of resources, including staff, equipment, and technology. Manage inventory levels and operational budgets effectively.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as sales, finance, and procurement, to align operational strategies with overall business objectives.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance to senior management. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and operational trends.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in operations management within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing complex logistics operations.
