Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement effective ocean freight pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness in the market.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and pricing benchmarks.
- Monitor and adjust pricing strategies based on market conditions and business requirements.
Carrier Relations:
- Negotiate rates and contracts with ocean carriers and other service providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Evaluate carrier performance and address any service issues to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Cost Analysis and Optimization:
- Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure cost-effective pricing solutions.
- Utilize data and analytics to optimize pricing strategies and enhance profitability.
Sales and Customer Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide competitive pricing solutions for clients.
- Support the sales team in responding to pricing inquiries and preparing quotations.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of pricing information to clients and stakeholders.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Thai customs and international trade laws.
- Maintain accurate records of pricing agreements, contracts, and related documentation.
- Implement and maintain effective quality control procedures.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of pricing analysts and coordinators.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Strategic Planning:
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion of ocean freight services.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in ocean freight pricing, procurement, or a similar role within the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight operations, pricing strategies, and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
