Public Relations Associate/Senior Associate

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Public Relations Associate / Senior Associate, based in Bangkok, Thailand, who will be responsible for planning and executing client communications strategies, across Mutant’s PR and Content teams. 

You will be contributing to day-to-day client and project management, with a portfolio of technology and corporate clients across the B2B and B2C space. You will take the lead in proactively marketing Mutant Communications services, attend relevant networking opportunities, research and identify PR & communications pitch opportunities to build a pipeline of leads, support business development proposals, and confidently present the recommended strategies to new clients. 

You are a confident individual with a great personality but are results and performance driven and able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

What you'll be getting up to:

• You’ll plan, implement, analyse and optimise all PR activities from formulation through to execution, aligning them with the client’s key business objectives 

• You’ll work closely with clients and Mutant’s content, brand & PR teams to create aligned communications across all channels and to ensure both strong commercial and consistent brand messages

• Project management and strong execution to ensure all PR activities are delivered according to the clients' budget and timelines, achieving established KPIs are your strong suit

• You’ll track and evaluate KPIs according to scope, and provide recommendations that are necessary adjustments to optimise overall effectiveness based on measurements

• You’ll combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognize media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces, and features across a broad media spectrum

• You’ll fully participate in brainstorms and creating workable programmes for new business and upsell existing clients  

• You have established professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and the media.

• You'll support on new business proposal decks (research, distilling insights into key take ways, campaign ideation, delivering tactical solutions)

• You will lead client meetings, drive strategic discussions, and actively manage client relationships proactively (For Senior Associate level).

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You have 1-4 years of experience in public relations in an agency environment

• You’re a confident self-starter, able to drive conversations at the C-suite level 

• You have a solid understanding of the issues and opportunities in the communications industry 

• You have an excellent command of the English and Behasa Melayu and/or Mandarin language

• You’re meticulous and able to perform under pressure

• You have good interpersonal skills and can confidently articulate your thoughts in front of clients and/or the media

• You’re passionate about client management – maintaining a high client satisfaction level motivates you

• You enjoy working collaboratively across different teams

• You have a solid understanding of the media landscape

• Existing relationships with journalists in Thailand are advantageous

• You're proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership over your work.
