Medical Advisor

The Position

• Provide scientific guidance and robust medical direction to drive the business throughout the lifecycle of designated products
• Ensure that the right patients can take advantage of the full benefits of Boehringer Ingelheim products by collaborating with internal and external partners for the success of the company

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides medical information and scientific advice and expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
• Co-leads the medical strategy and develops the medical contents of the integrated medical brand/customer plan for assigned products and pipelines
• Trains, educates and supports related local functions (e.g., marketing colleagues, sales force etc.)
• Develops and maintains medical expertise for relevant BI products to meet both internal and external customer needs
• Identifies and maps key external experts. Develops professional relationship with medical experts, key stakeholders and members of the scientific community; through face-to-face individual or group scientific exchanges, and documents interactions in the company provided platforms
• Works with local experts to support local Investigator-initiated studies (IIS) where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in pharmacy
• At least 4 years’ experience as a Medical Liaison/Medical Affairs in the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with KOLs and HCPs
• Strong collaboration skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.
