Direct and manage assessments/screenings of new business opportunities by conducting feasibility studies and through desk research and market/store survey.
Collaborate closely with Business Development community and other stakeholders to build up business proposals, deal negotiations and finalization of Regional Distribution Agreement for acquisition of new Regional Clients.
Prepare monthly reports and adhoc analysis for reporting to Senior Leadership Team.
Respond to queries from potential clients in supporting business development interactions.
Conduct research/feasibility studies/market scan (including visiting exhibitions/fairs) to gain better understanding of the latest market opportunities/trends.
Support the formulation of Business Development Strategy and target setting annually.
Ensure Business Development projects and pipeline are up-to-date in Salesforce.com.
Support the execution of improvement initiatives to Business Development processes and ways of working to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy.
When required, sit in as interim Business Development local contact point for markets during vacancy gaps.
Functional Skills And Knowledge
Three to five years of experience in FMCG industry, especially in sales, marketing, business development related role preferred.
Management consulting or marketing research experience is an added advantage.
Exposure to managing or understanding Profit and Loss statement is an added advantage.
Strong stakeholders’ management skill (external and/or internal) is expected
Demonstrate strategic thinking, analytical/critical thinking and agility to handle complexities and multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Proven proficiencies in Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Exposure and experience with Euromonitor, SAP and Salesforce.com would be an added advantage
Coach and provide guidance to Analysts in all business development activities in order to achieve company’s goals
As this is a Group position, English proficiency is expected
Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross-country/-cultural interactions
Fluency in local language (written and spoken) is an added advantage
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/Marketing
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing would be an advantage
