Logistics Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision: Oversee various operational areas including receiving, distribution, traffic, finished goods picking, shipping, offsite warehouses, packaging supplies, and inventory control.
• Procedures and Compliance: Develop, improve, and enforce procedures for material handling, ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Carrier Management: Analyze and manage the use of carriers and services, including selection, rate negotiation, and service quality.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all domestic and international transportation regulations.
• Inventory Management: Investigate issues related to inventory loss, damage, or shortages and maintain performance metrics for the area of responsibility.
• Offsite Warehouse Management: Plan, schedule, and control offsite warehouse activities, including access and usage.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Manufacturing Knowledge: Good understanding of electronics manufacturing environments, material handling, and processes.
• Warehouse Management: Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control methods.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in applications such as WORD, Excel, PowerPoint, and various business applications.
• Customer Understanding: Awareness of both internal and external customer requirements.
• Financial and Analytical Skills: Strong skills in financial analysis, contract negotiation, and process evaluation.
• Leadership: Effective leadership and coaching abilities.
• Multi-tasking: Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Physical Demands:

• Office Environment: Duties are performed in a normal office setting, with extended periods of sitting and visual concentration on a computer monitor.
• Repetitive Movements: Frequent data entry and use of computer equipment.
• Travel: Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Typical Experience:

• Experience Required: Four to six years of relevant experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a similar field.
